We were thrilled to receive our new missionaries Tuesday morning. From the airport we visited the beautiful Puget Sound. We spend a few hours with them. We had lunch, and did all the normal orientation. President had the opportunity of visiting with each of them for a few minutes individually. They were assigned to their companion later in the day, and did their first door knocking that evening. This is a historic group of missionaries. There has never been such a large group come into the mission at one time, and they are awesome. We are so appreciative of their enthusiasm and spirit. They are ready to serve. Elder Holland recently stated " Because of the significance of the latter days, you have to be the best missionaries we've had, because no task has ever been put before missionaries like the one we're putting before you." It is our privilege to serve with them. Thank you for sharing your missionary with us. We are so grateful for all the great missionaries we have the privilege of serving with. They are the BEST!! How we love them.
Look how cute they each are. |
We have missionaries that have come Australia, England, Thailand, not to mention the great United States. We have our first Cambodian speaking Sister from Boston this transfer. We also have missionaries from Poland, Germany, and Cambodia already serving. It really is incredible this great church we are apart of. How blessed we are.
