Today as we were leaving a Sacrament Meeting in Lacey, we walked out the door, there were our Missionary's Bikes. I love our great Bike Elders.
While visiting with the missionaries, I often ask them to share with me something that they have learned while reading the Book of Mormon. Many of us are in the book of Alma. They have shared their love for Alma the Younger, Ammon, these great missionaries of the church. Many have said that Alma was a book that seemed so long, and one they had not loved. It is common for me to hear now just how much they each LOVE the book of Alma. We are loving Alma in the Washington Tacoma Mission. It has contained such a powerful spirit to me, as I have read it this time also. There is a favorite scripture that has been with me shared many times.
Alma 26
I know that I am nothing, as to my strength I am weak; there-fore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea behold, many mighty miracles we have wrougth in this land (the beautiful Washington Tacoma Mission), for which we praise His name forever.
A message from Alma 5:7 that represents these great missionaries to me is;
Nevertheless, their souls were ILLUMINATED by the light of the everlasting word.
These great missionaries Illuminate the love they have for their Savior. Many tears have been shed as they have shared their tender feelings for the Savior. It is such a privilege to visit, to share, and to serve with each of them.
