We would like to thank each of you, fathers, mothers, and all family members for the love and support you give to your missionaries.  It means so much to them.  One day we were with a zone, the closing prayer was being offered.  The missionary giving the prayer said "please help us to be the kind missionary our mother believes we are."  I was so touched.  We are honored to be serving with your sons and daughters. They are such great young people.   Last Zone Leader Council it was decided that it would be a strengthening thing not only to each of us individually, but as a mission to read the Book of Mormon together.  I would love to invite you to join us if you would like.  At Transfer Meeting it was announced to the mission.  We all began reading last Tuesday.  (October 25th)  It was decided that if we each read 11 pages a day we will finish the Book of Mormon by December 13th.  December 13th is the Christmas Party.  At the Christmas party we will read the last four chapters together followed by a musical testimony meeting.  Later that day we will have the party.  A quote from Preach my Gospel by President Hinkley states:  "Those who have the read the Book of Mormon prayerfully, be they rich or poor, learned or unlearned, have grown under its power.  Without reservation I promise you that if you will prayerfully read the Book of Mormon, regardless of how many times you previously have read it, there will come into your hearts...the Spirit of the Lord.  There will be a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and there will come a stronger testimony of the reality of the Son of God."  We have a desire as missionaries to feel of the strength promised, and believe it will be a blessing to each of us individually, strengthen the unity and spirituality of the mission, and help to qualify to be the tool that the Lord needs to find and bring others unto Him. What a privilege to be apart of such an outstanding group of young people.

Our last evening with the missionaries leaving.

After transfer meeting the missionaries that are leaving for home come to the mission home for dinner.  It is so fun to just spend time together, eating, sharing experiences,  relaxing and having a final testimony meeting.

Such fun times!

Early in the morning we arrived at the Seattle Temple.  We are so grateful to share be able to go to the temple and be apart of this sacred experience with those that have served and given so much of themselves and their hearts while in the mission field.  It is a morning that will be remembered forever by all those there,

To each of you we express our love and appreciation for all that you have done and given to bless the Washington Tacoma Mission.  You are missed.  You are loved.  May the Lord Bless you.
The last Baptism point!!!

Love you all so very much.

Transfer Meeting is such a great experience.  We had our insta- choir perform.  They sang Abide with Me.  The English missionaries sang a verse in English.  The Spanish missionaries sang a verse in Spanish, then they sang the third verse in parts. It was beautiful.  We had four other musical numbers.  The missionaries are so talented.  Eighteen missionaries shared their final testimonies.  Their experiences, insight, and growth are amazing.  The spirit is so sweet.  I'd love to share an experience that happened that day.  There was a young man riding his bike by the church and needed a restroom.  He came into the building, saw the chapel-gym area full of people.  Felt the sweet spirit of the meeting and decided to sit down.  A young mother visited with him, asked his name, and by the end of the meeting he said he would like to meet with the missionaries.  The spirit of this meeting is manifest by the faith, and hard working obedient nature of all these missionaries.

Transfer Meeting - October 24, 2011

After visiting the Puget Sound we arrived at the Chambers Creek Building where missionaries were waiting to greet the new arriving missionaries.  We did pictures, had lunch, and then broke into groups to orient the new missionaries.  During this time President Weaver interviewed the new missionaries.  Following that we had a short devotional.  Elder Burger shared his testimony.  Sister Bowles and Sister Grenfell sang a beautiful musical number (Miracles).  President Weaver shared his testimony.  It was such a sweet time to be with these great young missionaries.

Then comes the time they each are waiting for, they are assigned their new companions.  One never know quite what to expect.

Many of the sisters serving.  So Cute!!!  Sister Anderson, Goodbye.  We will miss you so much.  We love you!

We welcome our new misssionaries to the Washington Tacoma Mission.

We are so excited for the new missionaries to arrive.  I know they are just as excited to begin this new journey.  We hope they can feel of the great spirit and love that the mission has.
We would like to welcome Elder Liechty as a new AP.
